Keeping on the right people, right places, right on stories, here we observe a childhood hero of mine, Scott Foss, ripping a tuck knee frontside air at the Venice park recently. Having not skated in a long time, his friends encouraged him to get back into it, and gave him gear. Steve Caballero gave him an old set of his 187 pads, and an old set of BURLY CAPS, took him to Venice, and Dan Sparanga shot the photo.SO RAD!!!

While on a search for vert in the East, through a great example of how the world is indeed small, and we are all skating our way into the ages, Jeff Grosso was given a pair of BURLY CAPS by Peter Furnee, and was photographed with them at Mt. Trashmore by Glenn Gutierrez.

Patrick Guidotti sent me this note after getting some BURLY CAPS recently:

“Just wanted to send some more feedback on your caps because they basically made my PD’s awesome. I was really bummed on my PD’s because of the obvious- the caps would be smoked in a matter of a few sessions. I also didn’t like that the caps would drag just enough to make my pads shift around in mid-kneeslide, sometimes causing my knees to twist inward which is even worse than just having caps wear out prematurely. That defeats the purpose of the pads in first place, which is to save your knees.

Your caps after a session or two wore-in in such a way that they slide so much easier, and this completely corrected the problem of my pads shifting around and twisting my knees when I bail. You took rotten pads and made them great with your caps. Fucking sick. Thanks, Greg.”

Not one to waste precious skate resources, Ozzie has only put one BURLY CAP on his Boneless pads so far, to replace a worn through stock cap.
